"Education is not the amount of information that is put into your brain and there is a riot, which makes your whole life useless. We must have life-building, human-building, character-building, assimilation of ideas. . "--- Swami Vivekananda The eternal words above define an autonomous body under the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan- Ministry of Human Resource Development of India. KVS is a vibrant and premier educational institution in the field of quality school education. The KVS Jammu region was established in 1984 and currently has jurisdiction over 38 KVs located in Jammu and Kashmir, with a dedicated, well-equipped and committed team of effective management and teachers for the intellectual, moral and spiritual development of the students. Under is working in the same direction. A galaxy of multidisciplinary curricular activities is organized on a regular basis to bring out the best in students. ‘All round personality development’ is an important focus area to enable our students to march with the ever changing world of technology and globalization. We believe in inclusive education with principle "to inspire the weak, to address the average and challenge the gifts". We are proud to help our students develop and develop the next generation sensitive and responsive citizens. Principal
Education is all round development of a man. Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan is a place setting institution both in curricular and co curricular activities. Kendriya Vidyalayas take care to develop the personality of the students in every respect. The students are taught that all power is within them. They can do anything. Nothing is impossible. No obstacle is insurmountable. All the power you need to accomplish or to achieve your goal is within you. You are to toil hard. There is no substitution for hard work. Success comes before work only in the dictionary. There is always a battle to be fought before the victory is won. So to achieve your goal; you have to put in hard and imaginative toil. You have to do adequate preparation and able execution. Never accept defeat as final. There is no defeat so long as you give in. Keep trying. Keep doing efforts. Never lose heart. Ultimately you will win. What appears impossible today, will become a reality tomorrow with your determination, dedication and application. You are the master of your destiny and captain of your soul. You can decide your destiny and fashion your fate with your own efforts, industry and hard work. Principal Mr Sunil Kumar Yadav
